Katie and I were not aware of some of our greatest vulnerabilities and it eventually lead to an affair.  For Katie, it was based in a lot of old wounds and insecurities that began in childhood and then unfortunately those same wounds being affirmed in our marriage.  For me it was more of a general unawareness of Katie's hurts and my own inflammation to her hurts with my behavior.  You can listen to more of our story on the podcast and get a much more in depth experience with our intensives and weekend work shop.  I, Erik, have used my background as both a pastor and a therapist to help hundreds of couples through this extremely difficult journey.  Katie and I work great as a team to help others understand, heal and eventually thrive after betrayal.  The road ahead is difficult but we're confident if you don't give up and you face the story with honesty you too can make it through.
